OffShoot 24.4

To offload or to ingest? That’s the question and focus of this workflow update. Read all about this release in the blog.

New

Filter on filename - Filter files based on their filename instead of just the file extension. Copy for instance only Sony proxy files with *S03.mp4.
{Content Date} Element - The new Smart Element {Content Date} searches for the oldest file on a source and uses that creation date for your organization.
Double-click a Disk to Browse or Ingest a Source - Control the double-click behavior for disks in Settings > General.
Cloud Drives - Box, Google Drive, and OneDrive will now show up as disks directly in OffShoot.
ParaShoot 2 integration - Renamed files no longer cause an alert in ParaShoot 2.
Ingest Browser - Browse a Source and select which folders you want to transfer, each with its own label and preset. Cherry-pick folders and label them directly in the browser.
New S3 integrations - Support for Amove, Perifery OM, Seagate Lyve, Storj, and Wasabi.
TransfersAdded Script Event - A new Script Event that triggers when Transfers are added to the queue.
Number Elements - Force a Pro preset element to only accept numerical input.

Fixed

The "Ignore Empty Folders" setting would not work when all files were filtered out. That's fixed, thanks to Florian.
Fixed an annoying crash that could happen when dragging disks around.
Codex HDE files are now logged in the transfer log using the number of bytes copied, instead of their original file size attribute. (Thanks, Fahrul!)

(ASC)MHL verification logs are no longer saved on Destinations, just locally.

In-app (ASC) MHL verification. Just double-click any .mhl file, and OffShoot will verify its contents.
The Checkpoint verification settings got a makeover! Make sure to check them in the Transfer settings panel.

The Scripting event “Checkpoint Issue” has been renamed to “Verification Issue”.
The Scripting event “FileCopyCompleted” now mentions “Verification Mode” instead of “Checkpoint Mode”.

OffShoot 24.2.1

Official support for Codex Device Manager 7.3.

OffShoot 24.2

Have OffShoot treat multiple selected folders as individual Sources rather than a single Collection. Find this option under Settings > General > Source (Thanks for suggesting, Todd!).
Add multiple Sources to the transfer queue as a batch or one by one. Set your preference via Settings > General > Source.
Want to move a Source instead of making a copy? Now you can, enable this feature under Settings > Transfers > Transfer.

Fixes

The “Does not fit alert” would sometimes show up when setting consecutive project folders. That’s fixed (Thanks to Tim and Hannah!).
Transferring a FCP bundle could cause transfers to fail, that’s now fixed.

Important Changes

The Hedge Connect iOS and Android app are NOT compatible with OffShoot.
Codex and Scripting are now Pro features and will NOT work with a standard license.
No more accidental ejecting of disks; we removed the green eject icon. “Ejecting” can be done via the disk menu (or right-clicking a disk).
The Disk Menu option “Set Project Folder” is now called “Set Destination Folder”.
OffShoot runs on macOS 10.15 and newer

Upgrade to Pro / Floating license?

When running OffShoot for the first time, you’ll be offered to upgrade to Pro, and given the option to convert your license to a Floating License, if applicable. You can also perform these actions anytime you want in the License Manager .

C4 checksums are now supported too.

Hedge 19.1.1 squashes a couple of bugs:

we fixed progress bars that sometimes stayed blue
some disks were not reporting back to Hedge properly (resulting in missing Eject buttons, "Disk Full" alerts and "Calculating…")

Control which transfers run simultaneously with Queuing , in the new Transfers Preference pane:

Off: all sources are copied at the same time. New transfers start while others are still running.

Single Source: only transfers of a single source run simultaneously. When finished, the next source starts automatically.

Single Transfer: transfers run one by one, even when sharing a source.

Simultaneous Transfers are now kept in sync for faster overall offloads (Thanks for suggesting this Ronald and Ben).
